NOTES
1. Steve claims that he caught
this fish but he had not realised that it would have been a record. The
report does not name the water. It was just named as an Essex reservoir
which now turns out to be Oak Lodge Fishery. It is a small water and could
not be considered as a reservoir.
Report: Anglers Mail 23rd March 1996
2. Caught by Steve and reported
in the Times and Mail Nov 22nd 1996. There is great doubt over whether this is a genuine home
grown fish. There were rumours of a fish of this size being touted round
other waters on the Friday before the capture. Steve's water is 2 1/2 acres
and the fish is supposed to have been stocked in 1976 at 10lb. The fish is
being submitted to the BRFC. Fish was rejected by the BRFC in its June
meeting
3. Reported in the Angling Times 9th April 1997. Under
the header "That fish caught again" it was reported that the Bond 98lb fish had been caught for
the second time. It was predicted that the fish would attain a weight of
100lb within the season. Subsequent captures have shown that the fish has
grown and is still in the water.
The above fish will not be included in the NASA list until further notice
